Exciting New Arena - We love the original Kabuto Sumo; the new arena is our way of amplifying everything we love about it and minimizing the things that occasionally bog it down. For example, pushing from the corners lowers the ability to “stalemate” by continuously pushing your wrestler towards the middle. The posts add more strategic opportunities and challenge you to think cleverly about your pushes.
Epic Wrestler Powers - Between Kabuto Sumo and the expansions, there are already a ton of wrestlers on the roster. That means that the Sakura Slam wrestlers have some of the most unique pieces and thrilling powers yet! The Great Bugbino’s baseball bat is already a favorite at AllplayHQ.
Enchanting Toy Factor - Kabuto Sumo has always been a “What game is that?” game. When you see it on a table and hear the laughs (or cries) and see the surprising amount of thought by the players about how they push the cute, wooden pieces, you want to get your hands on it and try it.
Work The Corners!
Four fixed corner posts loom over each match. Using these posts, can you better predict how an aggressive maneuver will play out? Alternatively, if you’re near the edge: can you “rope-a-dope” and use the post defensively?
Play To Your Wrestler's Strengths!
The different signature pieces and powers have been carefully crafted to capitalize on unique opportunities in each match. Don't forget to use them!

A BRAND NEW expansion releasing with Sakura Slam!
Assemble your swarm! In Kabuto Sumo: Swarm you’ll draft 3 of your favorite wrestlers for a multi-match swarm showdown. A different wrestler must enter the ring each match, but they can use the unique swarm moves provided by their ringside partners. Set up powerful combos and overwhelm your opponents!
Includes Swarm powers for the wrestlers from every Kabuto Sumo product, culminating in a roster of 28 wrestlers (that’s over 3000 swarms to try!).

The Insect All-Star expansion brings eight non-beetle insects to the sumo ring.
Like their beetle counterparts, each new wrestler has their own signature move and piece.

The Deluxe Sumo Ring replaces your punchboard arenas with wood. The coolest part? It sits on a metal Lazy Susan that allows players to spin the entire arena—no more needing to stand up to get a perfect push.
The Deluxe Sumo Ring fits in the box if you remove the old arena that it replaces. No glue required!
It feels a little silly to write a paragraph about this plushie. I mean, look at it! He's 8 inches tall. You want it in your game room. Imagine him adorning your Kallax or Jasper Shelves!

The shine in the photo isn't a mistake; this is Kabuto Sumo's FIRST metal piece! If you thought that the ways the wooden coins interacted with each other was confusing, wait until you add this heavy piece into the mix.

A friend of Tony's, Kwanchai had a chance to play an early prototype of Kabuto Sumo at a convention. He felt a personal connection to its theme and was immediately delighted by the game. Once as a child, having spent a summer visiting his grandparents in rural Japan, he was given a wrestling beetle in a little plastic cage as a parting gift. Nothing could've been more exotic and fun, for a midwestern kid from the suburbs.
