A “thinky” party game, like Codenames or Wavelength. Use logic and deduction to understand the rules of the mysterious Venn Diagram.
Players play as "Finders" and attempt to correctly place "Thing" Cards into a Venn Diagram. Each Ring of the Venn Diagram has special rules. The twist? Only one player, playing as "The Knower," knows the secret rules.
The rules fall into three different categories:
Word: about the spelling or structure of the word,
Attribute: about the physical properties of the object
Context: about the position of use of the object in society.
Pay Attention During Your Opponents' Turns
Tons of information can be garnered when your opponents are placing their object cards. Try and learn as much as you can before your turn begins!
Think Outside The (Venn-Diagram-Shaped) Box
Don't forget that the object cards can be placed outside the Venn Diagram. Getting cards there or in the very center of the Venn Diagram (where everything overlaps) can be some of the most illuminating clues.
If You're Lost, Focus On One Category
Trying to tackle too many things can be confusing. Can you figure something out about the spelling? Start there!
Make a triple Venn Diagram with labels "Context," "Word," and "Attribute"
The Knower role is assigned to one player that facilitates the game. Knower, draw each ring's rule card (and keep them secret!).
If you place incorrectly, the Knower will move your card to the correct area. Then, you'll draw a Thing card. Otherwise, play more Thing cards until you place one incorrectly
Can you figure out the rules and play all your cards? You don't have to know the rules exactly, but getting close is your best chance at winning!
