Outwit your rival in an asymmetric, strategic, 2-player battle between Greek gods and monsters.
The dark monsters of Greek mythology have gathered for one final assault on Mount Olympus. The Greek gods are prepared to defend their sacred ground. Who will prevail in this decisive battle of blood and ichor?
Ichor is the second game in the Mythos Collection, a line of two-player titles by Bitewing Games featuring strategy and mythology.
Turns are dead simple — move a character or spend its ability as you race to lay out your tokens first. Keep the pressure on your opponent by blocking their figures and laying your tokens on difficult-to-reach spaces. Pull the trigger on your character abilities when they are most effective, and carefully prepare for your opponent’s character abilities. Then, in the second game when you have switched sides, gleefully use your opponent’s strategies against them as you scramble to prevent them from doing the same to you.
Thanks to the 2 game boards, 24 characters, and 8 gate tiles (with the Reinforcements & Gates expansion), Ichor boasts nearly 50 million possible setups. You can rest assured that no two plays of Ichor will ever feel alike.
Recruit reinforcements to the battle with 4 additional gods and 4 additional monsters! These characters boast advanced abilities such as adding another character to the board during the game or pressuring your opponent with an alternate victory condition. Add the Gates module to your play session to spice up the board with powerful tile abilities. When a character passes through a gate, they trigger its power.
Upgrade your god and monster tokens from wood to deluxe resin. These weighted discs come with a colored wash for added detail.
Upgrade character standees from punchboard to acrylic. Includes the 8 characters from the expansion.
Upgrade your 8 punchboard gate tiles (from the expansion) to deluxe heat-transferred wood.
With over 800 games and books published and dozens of awards received, Dr. Knizia is a legend in the board game industry. Though games have been a big part of his life since he was a child, Reiner initially studied to become a doctor of mathematics and then worked as a banker in England. When he reached 40, he decided it was time for a major change. Life should be fun. Games are fun. And people should have fun with games. So, from then on, he fully dedicated his life to game design, and his motto became: Bringing enjoyment to the people!
