Your climb awaits. Mountain Goats: Legacy is live on Kickstarter now!

Invoke the power of the Four Auspicious Beasts, carefully channel their energy through the Earth, and triumph in this battle for qi and wisdom that will shape your destiny and intertwine it with the Beasts of legend.
In Azure, players position their stones to gather qi (cards) and wisdom (points) from the realm. They also compete to bring the Auspicious Beasts to their aid. The first player to reach the end of the path of wisdom wins.
Players take turns placing a stone, gathering boons from the space they cover, and gaining the favor of Auspicious Beasts. In order to place a stone in a space, the player must be able to pay the qi cost. The color of the domain (board) tells you the color of qi needed, and the number of boon symbols in the space tells you the amount of qi needed. Through careful management of the qi cards in your hand, you'll be able to grow in power.
Thanks to the four double-sided boards that can be connected, flipped, and oriented in any way in a 2×2 grid, Azure features over 10,000 different layouts. Azure also includes the Gifted module for experienced players — a variable one-time-use ability that can help turn the tides in your favor.

You’ll need to manage your hand of cards wisely in order to claim the best rewards. But the satisfying thing about Azure is that you can stretch your hand much farther than it initially appears. By lining your stones up in the same rows and columns, you’ll make the open spaces in those same rows and columns cheaper for yourself! By strategizing which spaces to claim and when, you can earn the needed cards into your hand to spend on the biggest spaces. And by earning the favor of the Beasts, you can gain that competitive edge that will carry you to victory.
Because there are four double-sided boards that can be flipped, arranged, and rotated in any way, Azure boasts thousands of unique setups. On top of that, you can add in the Gifted module, which grants both players one of four powerful, one-time-use abilities. It’s safe to say that no two plays of Azure will ever be the same.

This expansion includes two larger double-sided domain boards that replace two of the base game boards. It also features an alternate victory condition in the form of the Yellow Dragon tug-of-war track. The larger domain boards display a new type of boon on some spaces that pulls the Yellow Dragon in your direction — gaining you lucrative rewards at certain thresholds and even winning you the game outright if it reaches your end.
Everything here fits in the base game box.

These deluxe resin miniatures come with an ink wash to bring out details and replace the wood figures provided in the base game and expansion.
