For a long time, we thought the Jasper was the least expensive table we could make. But, after talking to so many gamers who weren't able to get a board game table because of the price, we decided we had to try harder.
A year ago, we sat down with the woodworkers and looked at the cost of every single bit of the table. Wood, labor, sanding, and staining. Boxes, shipping, and packing time.
Every single detail was looked at with a fresh mind. How can we think differently to get costs down?
Through every decision, we refused to sacrifice quality. For every prototype, (and there were a lot of them) we:
- sat at the table and played games.
- banged it, shook it, and even stood on it to make sure it was sturdy.
- imagined the table in our home. Does it look great? Is this a piece of furniture we would be proud to own?
- refused to remove any of the features that make a board game table a BOARD GAME TABLE.
The result? The Jasmine. An incredible board game table at any price—it just happens to be the most affordable solid-wood option ever made.

A Dedicated Gaming Space
The Play Arena
The biggest difference between a "normal" table and a board game table is the recessed playing arena. Armrests around the perimeter of the table keep you comfortable while your game takes center stage.
This border:
- Keeps bits from falling off the table.
- Lets you power roll your dice - they just bounce off the sides.
- Gives you a good place to rest your arms and keeps them up out of the way so everyone can see player tableaus.

The Playing Surface
Jasmine Tables offer the same premium play surface as our standalone playmats. The color options are gorgeous and don't distract from the game. The extra-thick 5mm padding provides wonderful tactility, and the quick-playing water-resistant neoprene keeps the gameplay going all night long.
Once you've enjoyed a game on this surface, there's no going back.
The play surface:
- Is cushioned so you can get your fingers under the cards and bits to pick them up easily.
- Tucks into a groove on the inside of the armrest so there is absolutely no gap around the edge.
- Is removable so it is easy to clean.

Detail Oriented
Quality Craftsmanship
The Jasmine is a budget conscious table, but that doesn't mean it's cheaply built. It's made from solid wood (American Oak).
Using solid materials doesn't automatically mean a solid table. That's why we are making The Jasmine in the USA (in Jasper, MO). This gives us the tightest possible quality assurance process, and a quick turn around time if problems need to be fixed. Production will be overseen by the same woodworkers who make our high end custom tables.
