For some of the more "fiddly" parts of our games (like math or scoring), the companion apps are really handy at game night.
The app will grow considerably over time. Currently, you can:

Use The A Message From The Stars Companion App: This game is designed to test your logic and deduction skills—not necessarily your math. As the alien, this app takes off some of the pressure of getting the clues right and lets you focus on the gameplay.

A Message From The Stars is fulfilling to Kickstarter backers now!
Work cooperatively as an alien and team of scientists to decipher letters. Ultimately, you'll combine logical deduction with word association to try and understand the alien's message!
A Message From The Stars trusts your intelligence and lets you feel clever. It doesn’t hold your hand; instead, it lets you use every creative letter combination or funky word you can muster to convey the code. Have a “hail mary” idea? Try it out and be surprised at your teammates’ deduction skills! Or, laugh at hilarious bouts of miscommunication and try again. If you love riddles, sudoku, or tough IQ test questions, this one is for you.
While the companion app is not required, A Message From The Stars can run a bit smoother when you let your phone handle the math involved.
Simply input the "Trust," "Amplify," and "Suspicion" letters that were selected during setup, and the app will spit out the correct value of any word you input.
This leaves you with more brain power to think creatively and come up with good clues, rather than making sure you're using the right numbers.
